Envelope mini album with a chipboard spine tutorial

Hello crafters! If you have read any of my recent posts you will notice that I have been on a mini album kick lately. Kathy Orta from Paper Phenomenon has been the biggest influence on the minis I have made. I wanted to see if I could use her "Envelope Mini Album" tutorial and combine it with the hidden hinge she uses for her more recent albums. So I took a couple hours and fiddled with it and this is what I came up with. A real rough draft of how to make it work. I then actually made an album and I just love it.

It is easier to look through because it is so much more sturdy and the spine isn't wobbly, it was a lot easier to assemble and I feel like it will last longer because the spine is much more durable. I added a couple pockets from her Occasions mini alum to the short pockets. And if you notice, I used up some more of the DCWV Chateau Lavender paper. It really is lovely.
So I thought instead of the crude tutorial I made earlier on my blog that has a few pictures, I thought I would do a series of videos to show how I do my albums. Here is the playlist. I would love to hear some feed back and let me know what you think!
