I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and is busy getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving. I have been doing a bit more cleaning then my usual home upkeep. Why do I only seem to notice how cluttered my house is when I am hosting a get together? We are hosting my side of the family for brunch and then driving over to hubby's sisters home for his side of the family's celebration later in the day. She asked me if I could make a favor to give to everyone so I did. 30 of them. It took longer than I thought it would but I imagine if I had less "help" from my kiddos then it wouldn't have taken so long.
For the box I took sheets of brown card stock that I had on hand and used the Fancy Favor die from SU!, I used a floral background stamp with some Colorbox "Chestnut Roan", a nice brown color, and stamped the image on the box. Next I cut out pumpkins using my Sizzix Pumpkins #2 die out of DCWV Autumn Melody papers, distressed them with some Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain". Assembled the box using Scor-tape and then adhered the pumpkins to the fronts of the boxes.
I used the Curly Label punch from Stampin' Up, the "enjoy" sentiment from Papertrey Ink "Mat Stack 4" stamp set, stamped it in Peach Parfait from SU I distressed the edges a tiny bit with some Tim Holtz Walnut stain ink.
I added some M&M's to glassine bags I bought from Le Box Boutique on Etsy, which I have used many times as they hold just the right amount of treats! Folded over the top a couple times, stapled it and glued on the "enjoy" label. Then I added a couple more treats to the box and called it good.
I was kind of disapointed in not finding any fall colored candies left. Everything was red and green all ready for Christmas. I would have thought I would have found something but I'm sure it all went when the Halloween stuff did.
