Gold gold and more gold! I had a fun time thinking of all the different looks I could get by embossing all over in gold on the Brushed Gold card stock. I used my favorite background stamp En Francais to emboss. I used the Joyful Christmas stamp set for the poinsettia. I embossed them on vellum cardstock in gold powder. Cut out a large and small flower and layered them together. I put some small pearls in the center. I attached it with Dimensionals and gently scrunched the petals up so give it a bit more texture and dimension. I took the Merry Christmas sentiment from the More Merry Messages and used the Gold Encore stamp pad to stamp it on some more vellum. I used the Apothecary Accents framelits to cut the sentiment. I put some of the larger pearls on the sides and used three layers of glue dots to attach t to the front. I wanted to give it some dimension because having the vellum right up against the background made it hard to make out. Dimensionals are too big and even cutting them down to a smaller size I could still see them peeking behind the vellum. So glue dots stacked on top of each other is what I did. I used Naturals White as a card base and left it at that. I think it turned out very elegant and Christmassy…
In retrospect for doing such a large amount of embossing with the same color I will use a small plastic container and a spoon like I have for my other powders, I ended up getting a lot on my desk no matter how careful I was with it.
Thanks again for stopping by my SSC, I hope you have enjoyed it! Next week I will be working on boxes and treat holder projects! See you then!
